Heather is a graduate of the 5-year Doctorate program in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Vancouver’s International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a registrant in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA). She feels blessed to have the opportunity to participate in this powerful holistic tradition within this beautiful clinic, supported by the BodaHealth team.
Heather continually upgrades her skills and offers her clients what she has learned from further coursework in holistic nutrition therapy, reproductive endocrinology, advanced studies in anatomy, advanced study in Chinese Medicine diagnosis techniques (face and tongue) and is certified in facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
Heather has as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emily Carr University, a 15-year history of performance production for everything from community festivals to large scale fine art installations. She loves playing in the mud and creating something out of raw materials; the magic of art creation enamours her. She may hold a world record for most hours spent in the Louvre over a weekend visit. She has completed several Yoga teacher trainings, holds the designation RYT200 and is currently working to complete her RYT500.
Current areas of further study include: anatomy (including a special interest in myofascial connections and tensegrity), gut flora and gut-psychology syndrome, holistic nutrition, Chinese Medicine herbology and working with colleagues here and in Washington state to establish a Chinese Medicine Herbal garden at UBC Botanical Garden.
