Dr. Brit Watters is a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) and a graduate of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster. She sought out naturopathy as a way to address her own health concerns, and found that she was drawn to the philosophy and the effectiveness of the treatments. This led Brit to pursue an education and career in the practice of naturopathy.
Together with her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Brit is also certified in acupuncture, intravenous nutrient therapy, minor surgery, immunizations, and pharmaceutical prescriptive authority. Additionally, Brit received training in naturopathic advanced life support and advanced IV therapy.
While Brit treats a wide variety of patients and health conditions, she is especially interested in working with women between the ages of 30 and 55. She is well-versed and interested in helping patients with the following conditions:
- Thyroid imbalances and adrenal conditions, including fatigue and insomnia
- Women’s reproductive health, including PMS, menopause, endometriosis, PCOS, hormonal imbalances, fertility, family planning, urinary tract infections, and sexual health
- Digestive problems, such as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), IBS, candida, food sensitivities, GERD and heartburn, inflammatory bowel disease, and gut dysbiosis
- Immunity problems and autoimmune conditions, including allergies, frequent colds, Hashimoto’s, Graves, IBD, celiac disease and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis
- Insomnia and stress-related conditions, such as fatigue, chronic high stress, burnout, insomnia and mood disorders
Brit believes that good treatment involves getting to the root cause of a patient’s condition by taking into consideration all of their systems and symptoms. Her philosophy is to take a comprehensive approach while using the least invasive treatments that will accomplish the desired results for her patients. She uses a collaborative model of health care, which means including not only other providers, but also the patient in decisions about their health care.

Brit says:
“I believe in educating and empowering each and every individual to take control of their health, allowing them to be the confident and successful individual they always dreamed of being. I want each of my patients to feel safe and comfortable so we can work together on their health care journey. I strive to create a welcoming environment from the moment I first meet a patient as a way to help them feel confident and empowered while we work together toward optimal health.”
When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Brit active outdoors and soaking up nature with her partner, Morgan, and her Aussie Shepard, Zeus. She spends her time taking advantage of all that beautiful Okanagan has to offer, including hiking, road biking, snowshoeing, golfing, and hanging out lakeside sipping a glass of wine.
