Dr. Shaw is a graduate of McMaster University, where she completed her Bachelors of Science degree and enjoyed success as a varsity basketball player.
She continued her education in Toronto, at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and also at the University of British Columbia where she studied reproductive endocrinology, infertility and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) under the guidance of reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist, Dr. Anthony Cheung. Dr. Shaw has additional training in infertility counseling and also Mind Body Medicine (through the Harvard School of Medicine). She is also a contributing author of an 8 year clinical trial study on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS.)
Her practice is primarily focused on women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, thyroid imbalance and menopause. Most recently, she has taken a special interest in the treatment of vulvodynia and other forms of pelvic pain.
She continues to stay active in the academic community as both a clinical supervisor and as a women’s health and endocrinology instructor at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
