As a Certified Pilates Instructor, Cindy Solkin believes that fitness comes in all shapes, sizes, and levels of ability. Cindy received her Pilates certification in mat, equipment, and in working with special populations in 2016 at Maya Ben Yaakov Pilates in Israel.
Cindy is interested in bringing Pilates to people who feel challenged by exercise or current health conditions. Her areas of special interest are working with clients who have autoimmune conditions, misalignment, scoliosis, inflammation, and women who are pre or post-natal. She is also experienced in working with people who are on the autism spectrum and amputees.
Her own struggles with chronic inflammation, arthritis, and weight issues compelled Cindy to seek out natural health solutions. As a result, her interest and scope has grown beyond Pilates to include experience or certifications in holistic nutrition, holistic coaching, Bach flower remedies, aromatherapy, and biofeedback.
As a Pilates instructor, Cindy stands out because of her unique experience and the holistic approach she brings to her sessions. Her practice is based on BASI (Body Arts and Science International), which is anchored in the foundations of anatomy and science while emphasizing the importance of each individual movement. When working with clients, Cindy adapts and adjusts her treatments to address each person’s specific needs.
