Barbara Lopes is new to Canada, coming to Vancouver from Brazil to complete her MBA at the University of Canada West. She earned her undergraduate degree in business administration in Brazil. As she works to finish her master’s degree, Barbara also wants to gain experience in Canadian business and markets.
Barbara was immediately attracted to the calm and peaceful environment of BodaHealth, as well as the opportunity to become part of the process that brings healing and improves the quality of life for others. She understands that the essence of BodaHealth is to see and treat the physical, emotional and spiritual body as one, and that the key to effective treatment is by understanding the root cause of the problem. She believes that,
“As everything in nature works in perfect harmony, so should our bodies when all the pieces are well aligned. And when that happens, the need to treat future illness and disease will be considerably smaller.”
Outside of the clinic, Barbara spends her time exploring her new home. She likes discovering new corners of Vancouver as well as outdoor activities, such as hiking and kayaking. She’s an animal lover, but her favorite critters are dogs and horses. In Brazil, Barbara liked to spend some of her spare time horseback riding, not only for fun, but also because she finds the combination of the outdoors and riding therapeutic. She also enjoys taking trips with her family.
At BodaHealth, Barbara is thrilled to work with competent people who clearly love what they do. She’s also excited to be a part of a kind, respectful and empathetic environment that allows her to help support patients’ progress and success in their healing journeys.
