With health and safety as our priority, we are implementing the following clinic protocols at BodaHealth:
Personal Protection Equipment:
Practitioners and staff will be wearing face masks at all times. Patients will also be required to wear masks, and we are asking you to please bring your own. We will have a limited number of masks on-hand if needed.
While there are currently no mask mandates in place by the Provincial Health Authority, we are continuing to be cautious and follow the recommendations set forth by our regulatory colleges; therefore, for the time being, we are requiring that patients wear masks in all shared clinic spaces.
Physical Distancing
Please come to the clinic alone, unless it’s absolutely necessary to bring a companion. If you do plan to bring someone, please let us know beforehand. Your appointment will be scheduled to minimize the chance for interaction with other patients, and we ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled start time.
We have limited the number of waiting room chairs and reading materials, and are no longer offering tea; please help yourself to water in the disposable cups provided next to the sink in the reception area.
Hand Hygiene and Sanitization
BodaHealth is remaining diligent in ensuring we prevent the spread of any disease with frequent hand washing and sanitizing, routinely wiping down all hard surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants, and washing all fabrics between patient care.
Patients will be asked to do their part by either washing or sanitizing their hands when entering and exiting the clinic.
Screening for COVID-19 Symptoms and Consent for Treatment
Please fill out the COVID-19 pre-screening survey before each appointment; this form gives us required health information for our licensing bodies, and is your consent to treatment within the context of the pandemic. This survey is emailed to you 36-hours prior to your appointment, and must be completed before your treatment can begin.
Please stay home if you exhibit any symptoms of respiratory illness or common cold, and you can rest assured that we will do the same. You will not be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel for this reason, and, in some cases, you can elect to have a telemedicine appointment instead of an in-person treatment. Please use this BC Self Assessment tool within 24-hours of your appointment if you are unsure: https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en
Payment Methods
We will be requiring a credit card (or Visa Debit) on file for all appointments and purchases.
This will help us manage in the event that administrative staff need to work remotely, minimize your time in the reception area, and reduce exposure to personal items.
Prior to your appointment, please log in to your Jane account and upload your credit card information. If you are unable to do this before your appointment, we will collect your credit card information when you arrive. Your information will be safe in our encrypted system. Receipts will be provided by email.
If you don’t have access to a credit card, please let us know so that we can make other arrangements, such as e-transfers, prior to your appointment. If you need to pay with cash, please note that change will not be provided, and if you have cash that exceeds the amount owing, a credit will be added to your account.
Virtual Telephone Appointments
For anyone who is not comfortable coming to the clinic for any reason, we will continue to stay open virtually, offering consults by tele-medicine with Dr. Jeda Boughton for patients of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Brit Watters for Naturopathic Medicine, and Cindy Solkin and Ewa Reid for Holistic Nutrition. Patients will be able to book these sessions online here or by contacting us via email or by phone at 604-733-2632.
Provincial health mandates are changing frequently and we are not sure how long these measures will need to be in place, but we will keep you informed as best we can. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions, concerns or feedback.
We are excited to see you again soon! Until then, stay safe and healthy.
With love,
The BodaHealth Team
