We are reopening with limited hours and new health precautions over the weeks of May 19th to early June with staggered return times.
We are looking forward to being back in the clinic and supporting your health needs!!
With health and safety as our priority, we are implementing the following clinic protocols at BodaHealth:
Physical Distancing
Please come to the clinic alone, unless it’s absolutely necessary to bring a companion. If you do plan to bring someone, please let us know beforehand. Your appointment will be scheduled to minimize the chance for interaction with other patients, and we ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled start time.
We have removed all waiting room chairs, reading materials and tea, and have converted three treatment rooms into individual waiting rooms. There will be signage at the front desk directing you to your designated waiting room. Please help yourself to water in the disposable cups provided in the reception area.
When your appointment is finished please exit the clinic to avoid coming into contact with another patient. In the short term, we will not have front reception staff working within the clinic as this will help us minimize exposure risks.
Personal Protection Equipment
Practitioners will be wearing appropriate PPE, including face masks and gowns, lab coats or aprons. Patients will also be required to wear masks, and we are asking you to please bring your own. We will have a limited number of masks on-hand if needed.
Hand Hygiene and Sanitization
BodaHealth is remaining diligent in ensuring we prevent the spread of any disease with frequent hand washing and sanitizing, routinely wiping down all hard surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants, and washing all fabrics between patient care.
Patients will be asked to do their part by washing hands when entering and exiting the clinic, and sanitizing them when touching door handles and other surfaces.
Screening for COVID-19 Symptoms and Consent for Treatment
Please stay home if you exhibit any symptoms of respiratory illness or common cold, and you can rest assured that we will do the same. You will not be charged a cancellation fee if you cancel for this reason, and, in some cases, you can elect to have a telemedicine appointment instead of an in-person treatment. Please use this BC Self Assessment tool within 24 hours of your appointment: https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en
Upon arriving at the clinic, patients will be required to complete a pandemic treatment consent and current health information form. The form gives us required health information for our licensing bodies, and is your consent to treatment within the context of the pandemic. The form will be available in your waiting room before each appointment.
Schedule Changes
Please visit our online booking page at: https://bodahealth.janeapp.com/ to check your practitioners’ hours and to book appointments. We will have staggered back-to-work dates, so each practitioner will have a different back to work plan and some schedules may have changed. If you have any questions please send an email to info@bodahealth.ca and we will make sure your practitioner gets it.
Payment Methods
We will be requiring a credit card on file for all appointments and purchases.
This will help us manage without staff, minimize your time in the reception area, and reduce exposure to personal items.
Prior to your appointment, please log in to your Jane account and upload your credit card information. If you are unable to do this before your appointment, we will collect your credit card information in the treatment room. Your information will be safe in our encrypted system. Receipts will be provided by email.
If you don’t have access to a credit card, please let us know so that we can make other arrangements, such as e-transfers, prior to your appointment. If you need to pay with cash, we will ask you to put exact change into a ziplock bag (that we will provide), as change will not be provided.
Virtual Telephone Appointments
For anyone who is not comfortable coming to the clinic for any reason, we will continue to stay open virtually, offering consults by tele-medicine with Dr. Jeda Boughton for patients of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Sarah Wulkan for Naturopathic Medicine and Ewa Reid for Holistic Nutrition. Patients will be able to book these sessions online here or by contacting us via email or by phone at 604-733-2632.
Provincial health mandates are changing frequently and we are not sure how long these measures will need to be in place, but we will keep you informed as best we can. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions, concerns or feedback.
We are excited to see you again soon! Until then, stay safe and healthy.
The BodaHealth Team!
