Through the use of acupuncture and Tui Na Maja Mudri B.A. R. Ac. helps her patients free the body of its blockages and lead it to the state of health and full potential. Maja believes that the right balance of physical and spiritual energy is the key to achieving a healthy and fulfilling life. Through the years of academic and clinical practice at ICTCMV, BodaHealth and Anhui Hospital of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Maja has treated patients with various conditions such as digestive disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, metabolic disorders, stroke, gynecological disorders – to name the few.
During her recent internship in China, she received training in various fields of Chinese Medicine including pediatrics – treatment of children with Tui Na, moxibustion and herbs. In our culture children are rarely treated with Chinese Medicine largely because TCM is mostly associated with acupuncture and many parents feel that their children would not agree to having an acupuncture treatment. However, Chinese Medicine offers a wide variety of non-invasive treatments which are often much more effective than continuous use of western medications that eventually weaken the child’s body. Using Tui Na as the primary method, Maja successfully helps children regain and maintain the lost balance and grow into healthy and strong individuals.
Maja still nourishes her passion for learning new languages which led her to obtaining her first degree in Linguistics and living in different countries such as Guatemala and Russia. She will never refuse a good book recommendation or a new knitting pattern. Her weekends are often spent in her garden tending to various plants or experimenting in her kitchen with various spices and ingredients. Her partner’s love for photography often takes them on little hiking trips around the province where they take pleasure in every little gift the nature has to offer.
